The better covenant with better promise in Christ
Hebrews 8 verse 6, But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better
Promises
Verse 10; For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
There are promise in this covenant,
And how to come into covenant with God?
Three things to look into:
Point 1: the basic privilege in the new covenant
Point 2: the better promises in the better covenant
Point 3: the believer's position/portion in the everlasting covenant
Point 1: the basic privileges in the new covenant
Hebrews 8 verse 8, For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Verse 10, For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Verse 9; Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Why is the first covenant broken?
Because their didn't continue
Jeremiah 31 verse 31, Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Verse 32, Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Verse 33; But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jeremiah 32 verse 38, And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:
Two kind of people in the world
1, His people
2, Not his people
Who are his people?
1, The people who surrender to God
2,The people who Repent of their sins
Verse 39, And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
What can of heart ?
1, The heart that is yeild to God
2, The heart that is yeild to word of God
3 the heart that obey God
4, the heart that fear God
Verse 40; And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
Jeremiah 50 verse 5; They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.
Ezekiel 37 verse 26, Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
Verse 25, Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
Verse 26, A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Verse 27; And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Luke 1 verse 72, To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
Verse 73, The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
Verse 74, That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
Verse 75, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
Acts 3 verse 25, Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
Verse 26; Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
Point 2: the better promises in the better covenant

What are does promise?
Titus 1 verse 2, In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Verse 3; But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
1 Peter 1 verse 10, Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
Verse 11, Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
Verse 12; Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
2 Corinthians 7 verse 1; Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Luke 24 verse 46, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
Verse 47, And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Verse 49; And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Acts 1 verse 4, And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Verse 5, For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
I will be different!
Verse 8; But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Romans 4 verse 16, Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Verse 20, He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
Verse 21; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Performance in my life
Point 3: The believer's s position/portion in the everlasting covenant
Psalms 73 verse 24, Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Verse 25; Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
Verse 26; My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Romans 8 verse 32, He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
He saved us
He can purify us
He empower
Verse 35, Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Verse 36, As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Verse 37, Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Verse 38, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Verse 39; Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2 Peter 1 verse 3, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Verse 4, Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Verse 5, And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
Verse 6, And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
Verse 7, And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
Verse 8, For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Verse 9, But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Verse 10, Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
Verse 11; For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Verse 24, Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
Verse 25, O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
