All-round Emancipation through the Look of Faith
Numbers 21 verse 4, And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
Verse 5, And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
Verse 6, And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
This hour you will wake up ( believe)
Verse 7, Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
(Believe)
Verse 8, And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
Believe:
You will see Jesus
Verse 9, And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
Have faith:
You will come in
You will live
John 3 verse 14, And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Verse 15, That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Verse 16; For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Three Things we are looking into:
1. The cause and comprehension of man's suffering
2. The confession and conviction of marked sins
3. The conversion and cure by the merciful saviour
1. Point 1: The cause and comprehension of man's suffering
Isaiah 59 verse 1, Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Verse 2, But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Verse 3; For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
HE LOVES ME AND I WILL NOT PERISH
Jeremiah 5 verse 25; Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.
2. Point 2: The confession and conviction of marked sins
Numbers 21 verse 7, Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
Amen!
Psalms 51 verse 3, For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
Verse 4, Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
Verse 5, Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Verse 6, Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
Verse 7, Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
TO NIGHT YOU WILL BE CLEAN
Verse 8, Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
Verse 9, Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
Verse 12; Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
3. Point 3: The conversion and cure by the merciful saviour
