(A) - ALMIGHTY

The Almighty advocate with all authority

1 John 2 verse 1; My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Revelation 1 verse 7; Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Three things we are looking at:

1, THE PREVAILING AUTHORITY OF THE ALMIGHTY SOVEREIGN

2, THE PERPETUAL ABILITY OF THE ALWAYS - ABLE SAVIOUR

3, THE PERMANENT AUTHORIZATION OF THE ACKNOWLEDGED SON

POINT 1: THE PREVAILING AUTHORITY OF THE ALMIGHTY SOVEREIGN

Matthew 28 verse 18, And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Verse 19, Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Verse 20; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Luke 4 verse 18, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Verse 19, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Verse 20, And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

Verse 21, And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Luke 4 verse 32, And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.

Luke 4 verse 36; And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.

Matthew 8 verse 8, The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

Verse 13; And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

1 Corinthians 15 verse 24, Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

Verse 25, For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

POINT 2: THE PERPETUAL ABILITY OF THE ALWAYS - ABLE SAVIOUR

Hebrews 7 verse 25, Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Verse 26, For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Hebrews 2 verse 17, Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Verse 18; For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

1 Corinthians 10 verse 13; There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Acts 20 verse 32; And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

Ephesians 3 verse 20, Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Verse 21; Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Jude 1 verse 24, Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Verse 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Philippians 3 verse 10, That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Verse 11, If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Verse 12, Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Verse 13, Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

Verse 14, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Verse 15, Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Verse 16, Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

Verse 17, Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

Philippians 3 verse 20, For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Verse 21, Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

POINT 3: THE PERMANENT AUTHORIZATION OF THE ACKNOWLEDGED SON

Luke 9 verse 1, Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

Verse 2, And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Verse 6; And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

Luke 10 verse 19, Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
