The Power of Praising God for His Mighty Deeds
2 Chronicles 20 verse 1, It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.
Verse 2, Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be Hazazon-tamar, which is Engedi.
Verse 3, And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.
Verse 12; O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
Three points to consider:
1. Problems beyond man's solution
2. Promises believed for manifold solutions
3. Praises that bring marvelous solutions
Point 1: Problems beyond man's solution
2 Chronicles 20 verse 12; O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
Isaiah 37 verse 3; And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.
Acts 12 verse 3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
1. Battles in life beyond your capacity and strength.
2. Bondage under Lucifer compassion or sympathy.
3. Bankruptcy and limitation with a conquered spirit.
4. Brokenness in livelihood with continual sorrow.
5. Burden of loads of critical sicknesses.
6. Barrenness and lostness without care for the sick.
7. Boldness of lawlessness against his conquering servants.
Point 2: Promises believed for manifold solutions
2 Chronicles 20 verse 20; And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Romans 4 verse 17, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Verse 18, Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
Verse 19, And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:
Verse 20, He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
Verse 21, And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
1. Transforming salvation
2. Trustworthy security
3. Trustable scriptures
4. Transparent sanctification
5. Totally trampled sicknesses
6. Timely, timeless supernatural strength
7. Transferable scriptural solutions
Point 3: Praises that bring marvelous solutions
2 Chronicles 20 verse 21, And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.
1. Praise him before the enemies halt.
2. Praise him Before the walls fall.
3. Praise him before the feelings of diseases departs.
4. Praise him, believing the spoken word
5. Praise him before the prison doors open.
6. Praise him before the leprosy appears cleansed.
7. Praise him before seeing the tree dried up.
